Subclass 491 Visa Conditions After Granted

Conditions 8515 Must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entry into Australia

You must not marry or enter into a de facto relationship before entering Australia. The Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) might cancel your visa if Home Affairs finds out that you were engaged, married or in a de facto relationship before it granted you the visa, but did not inform the department.

Condition 8578 Notify Home Affairs if your passport or contact details change

You must let Home Affairs know within 14 days if any of the following change while you are in Australia on this visa:

• The address where you live.
• Your email address.
• Your phone number.
• Your passport details including your name.
• Your employer's address.
• The address where you work.

Condition 8579 Live, Study and Work in a Designated Regional area

While you are in Australia on subclass 491 visa, you must live, study and work in an area that is on the list of designated regional areas as prescribed at the time when 491 visa was granted to you.

Condition 8580 Provide evidence of your live, study or work address if requested

If Home Affairs send you a letter asking you to provide information, you must provide the evidence of:

• The address where you live.
• The address all your employers.
• The addresses where you work.
• The address of any school, college or university that you attend.

The letter will tell you what sort of evidence Home Affairs need and how you should send it. Home Affairs might ask for evidence of all your addresses or only some of your addresses. You will have 28 days to provide the evidence you have been asked for.

Condition 8581 You must attend an interview if we ask you to in a letter

Home Affairs might ask you to attend an interview at a specific address, or might conduct the interview over the phone or internet. The letter will contain the details of the interview time and how or where you must attend.

Subclass 491 Bridging Visa Conditions

When you lodge Subclass 491 visa while you are in Australia, you will be granted a bridging visa. Whether you are granted a BVA or BVC depends on what visa you hold when you lodge subclass 491 visa. This bridging visa will be granted with no conditions.
